BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont women's swimming & diving team preserved its perfect record on Saturday, improving to 4-0 and 3-0 in America East with a 45-point conference victory over Maine at Stanley M. Wallace Pool.

Sarah Mantz racked up points in three different freestyle events in the dual meet, winning the 100-yard free by more than a second in 52.66 seconds with
Kira Hancock in third (54.16). Mantz (1:54.62) and
Sophia Smith (1:56.05) led the way in the 200 freestyle with a 1-2 finish, while
Audrey Shenkin claimed fourth in 1:59.20. Mantz (24.47) and
Sierra Sexton (24.85) were 2-3 in the 50 free for UVM.

In the distance freestyle events,
Kelly Lennon won the 500 with a final time of 5:14.29, while Smith took third in 5:14.70 and Shenkin posted fourth in 5:20.44. Lennon was also second overall in the 1000 free with a time of 10:51.11.

Shannon Cowley won the 100-yard breaststroke in a tight finish by less than two tenths in 1:06.95, while
Haley Gula registered third place in 1:07.60. Cowley (2:27.43) and Gula (2:28.45) went 1-2 in the 200 breast.

Hancock (1:00.11) and
Dani Rocheleau (1:00.46) took the top two spots in the 100 backstroke with
Jess Gorham in fourth (1:01.66).
Morgan Montgomery had a convincing performance to win the 200 back in 2:08.60, followed by Rocheleau (2:11.77) and Gorham (2:12.62) as the Catamounts swept the podium.

Lauren Punger (2:11.03) was the champion of the 200 fly for Vermont, while
Courtney Gray picked up a second place finish in the 100 fly in 59.54.
Chandler Brandes swam the 200 IM in a time of 2:14.27 for second.

Kelsey Olsen came second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 194.10 points, and
Ashley Branagan posted second place in the 3-meter diving with 171.52 points.
Vermont returns to the pool next Sunday, Nov. 13 with a 12 p.m. road meet against Bryant in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
