LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Vermont women's swimming & diving team registered a convincing 155-96 road victory over the Siena Saints on Saturday afternoon to remain perfect at 3-0 (2-0) on the season. Siena dropped to 0-4 on the year with the loss.

Vermont opened the dual meet with a win in the 200 medley relay as the team of
Courtney Gray,
Shannon Cowley,
Dani Rocheleau, and
Sarah Mantz posted a time of 1:49.73.

Rookie
Sophia Smith followed by winning the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:54.96 with senior tri-captain
Ali McClure in third place (11:11.07).

Kelly Lennon claimed the 200 free by more than four seconds in a time of 1:54.90, but lost out to teammate
Sierra Sexton (54.43) by four hundredths of a second in the 100 free.
Kira Hancock (25.63) edged Gray for the 50 free victory by less than two tenths.
Kristina Posnick coasted in the 500 free, winning with a mark of 5:19.87.

Jess Gorham (1:00.18) and
Abby Holmquist (1:00.29) were roughly one tenth apart to finish 1-2 in the 100 backstroke, while freshman
Morgan Montgomery claimed victory in the 200 back with a time of 2:13.21.

Cowley (1:08.65) and Posnick (1:10.84) were 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke, while
Haley Gula took nine points in the 200 breast and won by four and a half seconds in 2:29.53.

Normally a standout in the freestyle, senior
Sarah Mantz won the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday with a time of 59.95.
Lauren Punger (2:13.73) touched the wall three seconds ahead of Smith for first place in the 200 fly with
Audrey Shenkin in third.

Sophomore
Ashley Branagan had the top score in both the 1-meter (180.65) and 3-meter (205.85) diving competitions for the Catamounts.

Vermont returns to America East action next Saturday (Nov. 5) with a trip to Maine (0-2) for a 12 p.m. meet against the Black Bears at Stanley M. Wallace Pool.Â
