BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont Catamounts wrap up the non-conference schedule with a stretch of three games in six days, starting with a weekend trip to Brown and Central Connecticut.
Vermont stands at 5-2 on the season. The Catamounts are coming off a 1-0 loss to Hofstra on Sunday. UVM had been receiving votes in two national polls for the past three weeks, but dropped out in the latest poll released on September 23. UVM remains ranked, No. 2, in the NSCAA East Region Poll.

NSCAA East Region Poll Sophomore
Brian Wright leads the team in scoring with five goals through seven games, nearly matching his scoring total from all of 2013. Wright ranks ninth nationally in total points, 10th in total goals and 18th in total points.
Brown is 2-3-1 on the year and coming off a weekend at the USF/FGCU Tournament. The Bears fell 3-1 at South Florida and played to a 0-0 draw with Florida Gulf Coast. Tariq Akeel, an All-Ivy League selection last season after posting 15 points, leads Brown in scoring with four points on a pair of goals. Five other players have tallied one goal each for the Bears.
Central Connecticut is 3-2 and will face Army in West Point, New York before hosting the Catamounts. The Blue Devils, the preseason number one pick in the Northeast Conference Poll, won back-to-back games at UMass Lowell (1-0) and at Yale (1-0) last week. Keir Hannity leads the team in scoring with a pair of goals. CCSU is the defending NEC Regular Season Champions and hosted the NEC Championship game last year as the league's top seed. The Blue Devils went 6-1 in league play and were 9-9-1 overall.
Following the two road games, Vermont will return to host Dartmouth on October 1 to close out the non-conference slate. The game will be streamed online for free in HD via
