FINAL SCORE: Vermont 145.5, Bryant 116.5 | Results
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Vermont swimming and diving team won nine events and set a pool record in the 200 medley relay on its way to a 145.5-116.5 win at Bryant on Sunday in dual meet action. Vermont collects its seventh straight victory to improve to 7-1 overall this season.

Jess Gorham,
Shannon Cowley,
Courtney Gray and
Christa Weaver opened the meet by setting a new Bryant pool record in the 200 medley relay, clocking in at 1:48.25 to earn a first-place finish.

Cowley collected three individual victories on the afternoon. The rookie swept the breaststroke events, taking first in both the 100 (1:06.43) and 200 (2:25.37) yard events. Cowley also raced to a first-place showing in the 200 IM in 2:11.68.

Weaver earned victories in both of the short-distance freestyle events on the afternoon. The junior won the 50 free in 24.61, and followed with a victory in the 100 with a time of 53.41.

Andie Blaser and freshman Maddie Blumenfeld posted Vermont's other two individual victories at the meet. Blaser earned the top spot in the 100 fly (59.21), and Blumenfeld registered a first-place showing in the 1000 free (10:51.44).
Vermont finished out the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay. Blaser,
Katie Adams,
Sarah Mantz and Weaver finished in 3:35.03 to take first place.
